15 hp wont run unless choked

I have a 15 hp that wont run with out being choked anybody know how to remidy this<br />Thanks

Sounds like you need a carb. kit, and cleaning job. You may want to have a manual on this one. You have to move the rewind aside, and I find it easier if I remove the flywheel.

If you can get to the main jet, remove it and check it for trash first, if this problem has just arised....if it's been slow coming, then follow advice above.......... :)

Can you remove just the float bowl without too much trouble on this model? I have a long shot idea!

Rick: I don't think you can even get the high speed jet out on this model. It is really tucked in there.

Been there with my 6 hp. Pull the float bowl, there is a small plastic tube, 1/8" dia and about 1" long. It connects two small brass fittings. Mine was decomposed due to sitting too long. Replaced and gave the carb a cleaning (didn't even replace gaskets) and it's been fine since.

the carb comes out with normal grief<br />I can get to the float fairly easily<br />I will try the 1/8 diameter tube<br />and ajust the float
