150 E-Tec RPMS

I have a 2008 Evinrude E-Tec 150 HP that is in a 25' crest pontoon boat, it has a 17 degree pitch prop. My question is this The motor will turn 4800 rpm and seems to run just fine. Is this the proper rpms for that motor and prop pitch? Thanks for any help.

Page 42 of your motor Operators Guide states that your propeller should allow you to operate near the middle of the full throttle operating range shown on the specifications sheet on page 46. The full throttle operating range for your engine is listed as 4850 to 5850 RPM.

Get a 13" or 15" pitch prop.

The optimum range is 5500 to 5600 rpm.
