Re: 150 erude prop ideas

hello folks, dhadley i went to the lake today. it was impossible to check the timing. the sun was to bright to see the mark and i could only power to 2800 rpms on the trailer. i need a test tank and a wheel. i decarbbed today and will check my compression later to see if it increased. heres the kicker... i still can only top out trimmed at WOT at 4500 rpm's, but i feel certain that the motor is running as well as can be expected.no misses, seems at full power, no problems that i can feel, see, or hear. so... any ideas on what to do now to raise those rpm's? thanks all!

The motor was probably in too far (deep). Try pulling up a bit on the ramp. Usually we back down just far enough to make sure the water pump is covered.

We usually use "White Out" or paint on the number so its easier to see in the sun. Or do it at night.

Re: 150 erude prop ideas

i was pretty far in, i will pull up further for next time. already painted the pointer and 28 degree mark. outside of the timing maybe being off, since the engine is running so well, is there anything else anyone could think of as to why my rpm's are as low as they are. by the way, i believe 4500 rpm's and 34 mph as the best that i have ever been able to achieve in the 2 years i've owned the boat. it was by reading these posts that i found they should be higher and i appreciate the knowledge that everyone has so frelly given. thank you all and i appreciate hearing anymore ideas.
