I have 95 psi on all cylinders expect one. It's about 5 psi or nil. I figured the rings cracked, partly due to the fact that the open gap spark plug had a small nick in it. I thought that may have been from the ring breaking and hitting the plug. One of my marina neighbors says, this is not necessarily the case. He had the same problem and it was just a head gasket. I do notice when lifting the motor, fuel leaks out from the bottom of the air intake cover. Does that mean it is a good chance it's the head gasket or does that mean nothing.
He says I can do head gasket myself. Any idea of a price for replacing rings if that was the case?
I am thinking "new motor".

The easiest, cheapest and quickest thing ta do is get yourself a manual, remove the head and have a look. If it's a head gasket, it's easy to replace. If it's a ring or something else, you'll know.

c/6

Hooty
