150 HPDI VMAX Outboard oil on drive sharft

Hi there I have a 150 Vmax and i went to replace the Impeller and noticed outboard oil on the top of the drive sharft . I'm not shore weather it is just coming from the cowel or weather it is somthing more serious. i notice there could be a slight oil leake from the oil container cap on the motor. Could this be running down the drive sharft?

Sounds like just a small oil leak from that oil container cap....probably nothing to worry about. My motor, powerhead, and inside of cowling/apron always seems to have a variety of greases and oils here and there....and maybe that's a good thing!...helps keep out water My wife has accused me of being paranoid about "every little thing" on that motor!

Thanks mate. Just know that there is a hole under the cowl that any water oil excet runs down the outside the leg under the plastic cover . does enebody know if it is possable for any oil leak in the engine bay could leak on the inside of the leg down the drive sharft?
