Found some water in my gearcase upon changing the lube.I am more familiar with outdrives and their seals.Besides the prop seal what other seals are there that may be bad??Charlie
First off, I would start simple and check the seals of the vent and fill/drain screws. Everytime you refill a new washer/gasket should be used. This could be the simple fix.

If not, other than the prop seal there are a driveshaft seal and a shift shaft seal.

Good luck-
andy
hanks for the reply andy.Im sure its not the vent or fill screw.I am careful to replace the gaskets as well as clean the old ones out and I tighten the screws with a Snap on Screwdriver that I can put a wrench on to get it a little tighter.Should I drop the lower gearcase and bring it for a pressure check or does it need to be left intact to test and reseal??.Charlie
