20 bucks sound good-and yes replace the o-rings if your that far into it,also remember the ballbearings go in first then the springs, back off the big spring adjustmemt it will be easyer to install.and dont forget to change the little o-ring the one thats inside the big valve after you unscrew it from valve body this was my problem from the start. :)

Jack7114, is that a 3 wire motor? Napa auto parts has one, part number 18-6775. it replaces original part number 824051, '95-'97 90 hp.

If you need one online, try this one.
It is the second one from the bottom of the page.

http://www.outboardparts.com/chrysler/mall/trimandtilt.htm

The big valves with the hex heads are usually the ones that cause the leak down. Once you take them out you have to take them apart. the end where the little needle valve comes off (you will need to pry it off with a wide bladed screwdriver, carefully) Inside is the needle valve with a spring under it, and the o-ring goes around the pin, Mercury part # is 820719. It is some sort of carb seal, but it does the job
Greg

If you guys could cover the issue with the springs and bearings a little more clearly I would sure appreciate it. My motor will not tilt down and I think I did not put the little spring in the correct place as well.

Thanks. (Motor tilts up great now :) )

Re: 150hp.force trim/tilt -repaired kit for $4.00

Ok not to beat a dead horse but I tried to fix my tilt/trim leakdown problem and now I have parts that I can't put back together and don't appear to be anything like the ones described in the post.

The motor is an 88' Force 125

Here are two pictures one of the parts and one of the valvebody. I don't have any O rings just springs, ball berings, and a few washers (spacers?)

I labled the parts and where I think they were at I just need to match them up I.E. 2A, 1B 3C ect.

Trim Parts and Valve

Any help would be great! Also should there be O-rings somewhere???
