15ft Half Cabin Nautiglass Conversion & Rebuild

I bought this 15ft ski boat design and gal trailer for $250.
Needs lots of work..
I convinced the seller to throw at no charge a f/glass top he had lying around so I could convert the boat into a half cabin cause I have kids..pics will explain what I mean.lol

I hope all you guys can give me tips on to rebuild this boat from scratch.
I want to try to keep it simple and have plenty of room for the kids to move around.
I know that boat will need:
a new transom
Floor
Stringers will need re/glassing
perspex and windscreen
paint
motor

my baby has come home...
TO DO LIST
Clean out and move to back of shed
Remove Ski Design Top Cover
Remove Transom
Remove Floor
Line up new half cabin top cover for test fit.

p.s there was heaps of water stored inder floor....bad...but f/glass was still ok.

Remove Floor and inspect Stringers..Some air bubbles...arrrggg
but wood is ok...will re-glass
sand all imperfections and cracks on hull.

take out the grinder and tools..lol

this is what the half cabin looks like now..

now for the sanding. take out the tools

bought some things:
Live tank - Ebay $15
Anchor - Markets $15

I photoshoped the boat to see what colour it should be.

Found 2 Holes in the Fibreglass Hull so I began to work at it then sanded the boat down.

had a new winch cable from a previous boat I had which was never used...
the one that was on the trailer was gone...

bought a Bimini cover with clear sides on Ebay for $50.
one clip needs repairing..no drama..the cover is a little dirty but strong..
it even came with a attatched small halogen light...

I installed new Submersible L.E.D Trailer Lights with Number plate light. on ebay
ran new cable and Pin adapter on the trailer and on the rear of the Van.

I am using these Pool Noodles as a flotation device inder the floor.

Good job so far mate. When I saw the 1st pics I thought you're really crazy to start a project with so much work in it but you seemed to have nailed the hard parts already. Keep us posted on this one.

This thursday I will be taking a 2hr drive to pick up the windsceen for the top of the Half Cabin...the seller posted his half cab up for sale for a while and I told him if he could sell me just the windscreen..so he replied YES for $50..it looks in top nic...can't wait to install...will upload pics soon..
