15hp suzuki possible prop spin

I have a 1988 15hp suzuki and last Saturday when I had it out on the lake when I went to accelerate the motor suddenly spun really high and I lost power to the prop. I tried it several times and at idle it's fine but right before it planes out it does this. Also I when I pulled the prop I could not find a sheer pin, does anyone have an idea as to what's goin on.

prop should have a rubber pressed in hub that is bad.
Take to prop shop to have it replaced or buy new prop
Or buy a new one and repair the old one to have as a spare next time so it does not ruin a day on the water
