15hp vs 9.9hp Johnson (80's era)

How much difference is there between these two motors? Weights? I have heard one of the only differences is the carb.

This thread seems to answer some of my questions. Mine is a 81 model. I wonder what the weight difference is?

Weight is the same between the 9.9 and 15, as long as they're both the same shaft length.

There are other differences besides the carburetor, so putting a 15 hp carb on a 9.9 won't make it a 15 hp, unfortunately. That did work on some of the early 9.9s, but they change the exhaust and maybe some other stuff after about 1976.
