165 hp Mercruiser 4 cylinder bad fuel pump

My fuel pump appears to be bad. The pressure only got to 2 and didn't hold there. I am trying to decide to rebuild or buy new. Anyone know what parts come in a rebuild kit and how to find what kit or fuel pump I need.

doubtful you`ll find a rebuilt kit . most pumps identified by how the inlets and outlets "clocked" (where the actual hole is for inlet and outlet)

There is no rebuild kit for the 165 fuel pump. There was one for the older style pump. There have been problems with some 470 engine aftermarket fule pumps due to differences in pump arms, with some pumps developing too much pressure. Do a search here to get an idea of the problem. You may want to consider converting to a electric pump and oil pressure switch setup.
