165 merc. manifold

I'm wondering how to test a manifold on a 165 mercruiser. I have just put a new one on and I still am getting water into the exhaust chamber of the manifold and consiquently into the engine oil

Hi , all the exhausts are connected to one large chamber , The engine is an inline 6 cylinder chev 250cid

It could be a bad riser if 5 and 6 have the water, 1 and 2 would be more likely a bad block or head issue

I have the riser off. I vacuumed the water out of exhaust chamber. I then poured water into the cooling jacket. Water eventually seeps into exhaust chamber. The Freekin manifold is brand new!
