I have a 1985 Larson Citation Bowrider Im restoring, It has the Mercruiser 140. When I got the boat it had a 1.8 ish drive on it that was blown out. It had a spare laying in the boat that is 1.94? ratio. My question is, which drive should be on this rig? The last several owners were pretty rough on it, and I'm re-doing it from the bottom up, and want to make it right. It seemed to go along fine with the 1.9 and a 19 pitch prop but I'd like to have it right. Of course the tach did not work at that point but she moved along ok.

Thanks, BT, I'm going to order an SEI drive for it pretty soon, and hope it works out ok. I still have the 1.98 but I put it on a 83 Chaparral bowrider that I bought cheap so I could still go boating while I re- fab the Larson. I'll leave the old drive on that one and buy new for the Larson.
