17 fisher, motor size?

hI all,
I have a 17 fisher bass boat, 1994. My 90 hp force just blew up. It is time to replace it and i am wondering how small a motor I can get by with. I don't neeed to go more than 20 mph, as I use it on small lakes and close to shore in the ocean.

anybody out there using a fifty hp or less and what can I expect?

I've got a '97 Fisher 17' Dominator with a Force 40. Tops out around 28 mph. with 2 people. It's a bass boat type of set up, not the V hull. Cruises between 20 to 25 mph.
