17' GlassMaster can i use on lake erie ??

Hi all very new to boating and just purchased a 17' Glassmaster with a 115 merc. My question is that i want to take it to lake erie would anyone know what kind of waves will this boat take? I would not think of taking it out in anything more than 2' waves but would like to know what others think it would withstand
