Sounds kinda expensive to me. It would have to be SUPER clean for that kind of money. Around my neck of the woods, a 25 year old 17' boat goes for maybe $2500.

I had a similar 115 Evinrude motor on a boat I used to own. It was a good motor.

Is the 115 Johnson a 1980 as well? If newer that could easily account for a higher price.

RV:
I used to live in Prince George, B.C. and I've bought and sold several power boats in that market. $4,800 sounds a bit steep for a boat of that age with that power on it. OTOH, northern B.C. boats tend to have very few hours on them (short summers) and are usually fresh water only, so in all likelihood the boat you're looking at is effectively younger than its notional 25 years.
As an aside, my step-mom has an 18' Wellcraft w/ a 130 hp Johnson on the Shuswap. IMHO her boat is just adequately powered. You might want to take the Invader out with four adults in it to see whether its performance is acceptable to you.
Good Luck,
pjr

DON'T pay more than $2500.00 like stated above. Some people are way too proud of their boats. If you can't get it for a good price, walk away. You are looking at inheriting 25 years of problems, even if taken care of very well, plus this late in the season  This is the time when you should start seeing some really good deals coming your way, cause some people don't want to store their boat another year.
