I am looking at possible buying this boat and wondering if anyone knows anything about this particular model. I have a 1959 Traveler Atlas that I am planning to restore. This one looks much new and has a 175 hp Johnson. The head has been rebuilt but the lower unit needs rebuilt. Any knowledge out the would be appreciated.
Let me correct myself. After looking at the boat and motor, the model # for the motor is V4AL-15E, ser. #2398120. The boat model # is DUT 153C. The lower unit is apart in boxes and has gotten some rust (part of the prop shaft, a little on the inside of the lower part of the cast. Should a person just plan on replacing the lower unit?
