You need manuals and specials tools from Merc to do this. Around $500-800 in tools unless found used on Sleazebay. This is why dealers and insurance company's suggest/use SIE and new replacements as cheaper and warrantys. It is a time consuming(min 3 hr) cannot walk away from procedure. Most techs in dealerships today dont know how to build a unit.
