While I had the table saw set up to cut aluminum, I cut all the parts for the back. 4 pieces were cut for angle braces and using my brake, they were bent to the angles need.

Mounted the other 3 seats. I used the Springfield "taper mounts" on the rear 2 seats. I'm going to send them back as they feel a little wobbly to me. I'll use the straight slide in's as I used on the fronts.

Hello Rodney, I ran across your rebuild thread this afternoon while I was searching for rub rail insert replacement for my 18 ft 1984 Sylvan Sportster. I wanted to reach out and compliment you on your work. I bought my Sylvan about 3 yrs ago. The po had started a rebuild but was halted by life changes. Anyway, it was trashed when I got it, but with some work, I had it in the water that first summer and have 3 seasons of fun boating in it. Great boat ! It remains a work in progress. Currently I am rebuilding the controller and replacing / re routing cables.
When the flooring was replaced before I bought the boat, the floor hatch was eliminated. Someday I would like to re-establish it for more storage. I have contacted Tracker (now owns Sylvan), but they were unable to help me with exact dimensions and location of floor hatch.
Maybe we could compare notes sometime. Compliments on your work,
Eric Western, Colorado
