18' I/O with a 350 v-8

Was searching my local craigs List (bend, OR) and found a 18' starcraft with a 350 v-8.
They want too much $$$ but I bet that thing would fly, maybe 50+ mph with the right prop.

I assume they put that motor in the boat and it did not come that way from the factory.

I put a 350 in an 18 years back. I never trimed it out, left most of the hull in the water. At least to the windsheld. Never really trusted it over 45 or so. I think the 4.3 would be a better set up. Mine ran about 45 with it level. It was neat to operate. came on a full plane around 2200.
