Ok so my Aunts 1850 Tyee 3.0 will trim down but won't trim up. I'm really not that familiar with the boat.
I located the motor and ran a jumper from positive to blue/white wire and trimmed up just fine. Any way to test the switch or should I go a different route?
Thanks all

Does the trailer up switch work? If it does it may be the trim limit switch is loose or out of adjustment or the wires corroded off, it is the round puck like object on the port side of the gimbal ring.

What year is the boat? Is the trim switch on the shifter, or does it have 3 buttons on the dash?

So does it go up with the trailer switch? If so the problem is likely in the trim limit switch or wiring. If you use the trailer switch for up be careful not to go up too far while underway. The system is designed to not trim up more than about two inches of cyl stroke with the trim switch after that it is not recommended to be much above idle while under way.

Yes the trim switch is on the shifter. That is the only switch I've found. Where might this"trailer switch" be?
