Found this boat today and I would say its in average to good shape. Trailer is a 2000 and is in good shape. Price is $4500 but with a Cedar swing set 2 years old and was told payed $1000 for it and thats prob right. So figure about $4000 for the boat. Other boat I have considered is a 96 Wellcraft Excel Johnson 150 but is $6900 and thats over my real budget and unsure if I could actually pay for it and afford the gas to take it out. Looking for opinions on the boat. There is some rust on the motor but its not that bad. Tilt and trim was rebuilt last summer.

we use to run 18' cobia's with 115, which is what the 112 is without VRO. the would run in the mid 40's when propped correctly. they were great water sports boats. $4,000 would be a good price. be sure to check it out thourghly. test drive if possible.

The Wellcraft was a good deal also. Remembering that thread, although I totally understand keeping to a budget, don't obsess over gas usage so much! If you consider the costs of owning a boat, th difference is gas usage between these two boats will be next to nothing. If you're that close budget-wise, then you're going to have trouble as a boat owner because they cost plenty to own and operate!

Good luck on the boat hunt. You're coming across some good ones I think!

Well, went a totally different direction with getting a boat. I just put a deposit on a 17ft semi V Carolina skiff with a 4cyl Yamaha Both 2002 and Also has a new trailer.
