Re: 19' CC Rebuild/Refresh

Well, its been quite a while, but I'm back on this project and hoping to make some progress and maybe get this thing in the water in a month or so. I basically just have to wrap up some minor things like installing all of the electronics, upholstery, hardtop, etc. I decided to use corrugated polycarbonate for the seat panel on the front of the console... we'll see if this works:

I got all of the front railing installed as well. I bought the bow rail off of a Catalina 36' sailboat on CL and torqued it into shape using the combined powers of Budweiser and carne asada. The side rails are origional, but I moved them way up because thats were most of the fishing goes down, and it makes for easier access at the docks.

More to come later in the week when I start laying out all of the electronics for the center console etc...

Got the stereo installed this weekend. Wasn't too big of a project; just meant cutting out a spot for the head unit and the speakers so I got to feel all itchy on Saturday.

You can kind of see that I've recessed the ship-to-shore radio into the top surface of the console. I left it halfway out so that I could mount the brackets externally, but I think I might go one step further and put the brackets on the inside of the console.

Does anyone have any experience putting a film tint on acrylic? I want to thermo-form a little wrap around windshield and tint it...
