I am putting a new motor on my frame and the new motor it a 19 hp Briggs, has no gas tank, my old 16 had a tank above that was gravitiy feed, so I'll have a red boat tank below and take it about 3 ft up to the motor using about 3/8 hose, I'll have a primer bulb in the middle.

*My question is do I need a fuel pump, the motor doesnt have a suction hose so I'll need a electric pump if need, and which one would I get, anyone know website or stores?*

I ask this cause some people say no pumps need.

I am going to try it without tomorrow just wondering if I would waste my time, thanks,*

electric pump
bad idea, but yes you will need a pump I would go for a vacume type briggs & Stratton and drill and tap a vacume port, there may even be a spigot there already.....I'm not sure where the port should go but a quick look at a rider mower will answer that....I have one myself but no clue to vacume port location this AM

its a fire hazard, not to mention un trust worthy in other ways. I almost lost my life years ago due to a electric fuel pump...not working when i really needed it to.
