Hello y name is not important at the moment but my question/questions to me are. I've been reading through the form ay old threads and I have to say the "Rules form" was very inquisitive in the sense that at a certain time between the 3 pages there had to be a point and yes there was and pretty dog gone clear at that. Like I stated I have 2 questions concerning a restoration of Valco 17ft aluminum boat and like many of you I stumbled on to it by "yep" surfing the classifieds. So I watched this boat for about 2yrs price always the same but the location or area would change from, time to time not more than a couple hundred miles if that anyways there it was being advertised once again this time it was in an area that I knew that Held the kind of boat races and that had a night life at one time. What I didn't know was just what kind of boat it actually was or is and still dont even with all the hours nights I've spent on the net and the questions so many questions that I asked and all to no avail. to which brings me back to iBoats to once again ask 2 questions of its members and well maybe 3 which forms should have posted in for a response?
Question #1) dose anyone remember ever seeing or heard any sub models being made by the Valley Aluminum Boat Company Valco's SeaWolf she was a 17ft Runabout produced for 3yrs cost 1175 new and there were 2 other boat models introduced and disappeared between 1959 - 1961 the other 2 boats were the Vagabond I'm thinking was a18 - 20 ft and the Adventure 20 - 25ft. they both were rated at 100 hp. all aluminum and produced by Kaiser aluminum in Fresno, Ca. and that bit of info comes from the web site Glass works" For Old Fiberglass boats" I believe it's been a while since I was on there. Any hoots I have even went as far as writing the Company for any direction of Information as to where I could possibly find some old photo's and or inventory information on just what kind of options she had trailer outboard motor I'm leaning towards Mercury due to the fact that they were 1 of the only Manufactures at the time to produce a 100 hp if not the only one that I have found so far. I late for some honey do's so in short right now I'm in the final stages of the Hull Restoration and will be putting her back on the trailer and start on the inside and would very much like to know what the floor configuration was like. I dont really want to guess and kind of keep it like it was back in the early 60's hell I'm trying to restore myself back to those days. with some minor but well improved improvements got to go I'll check in thanks.Everyone get's a boo!~ Boo!
any and all information that is shared will be highly appreciated thanks in advance in case I forget to say thanks.
