190 omc stern drive help finding parts and info

i have an omc stern drive,190 hp,electric shift boat is a 78 avenger w/ 302 motor. im looking for a manual and where i can find the drive gears (the gears you can see if you tip the out drive all the way up). please let me know a good place to get these parts. you can e male me a icwebpeople at aol dot com if you want.

Try www.sterndrive.info, or http://www.sterndrive.com/boneyard_product.cfm?id=20&cat=OMC. I think you're talking about the intermediate housing ball gear/upper gearcase ball gear. They should be replaced as a set.
