1900 225 rude

i think this engine had power steering at one time there is an extra hose near the pee hole that is nor connected just laying there. any help?

I believe what you're describing is an aspirator. It's supposed to reside near the bottom of the cowling to suck up any liquids that accumulate and eject them out the telltale stream.

What? If you are talking this rubber grommet in the lower cowl on a 1990 Evinrude 225.

Then you are correct on the power steering. The hoses did come out of that opening. They make a grommet for no hoses if you want to get rid of them. Its around $10. Go to any evinrude dealer and ask them to look it up. Mine was missing and needed to be replaced.

I'm not sure what metriccrescentwrench was talking about. Maybe a drain tube or something.
