(1930s Vintage) Johnson What Year?

I recently acquired an older Johnson 25 HP Seahorse that is in very good condition. It even runs good. Hopefully there is a Johnson enthusiast that can help me determine year. ID plate states model is RD-11 and Serial No is 913846. I have pictures but don't know how to post them. Pictures can be viewed at below address:
http://members.fishingworks.com/chumslick/photos.cfm

Keep the Bait in the Slick...

Thanks John,
1951 was a very good year, especially for me. I thought the motor was older than 1951. It is in really good shape and runs good. Would you know where I could find out how much it is worth?

Runs great. It has been sitting in a garage for a few years so I am going to go through it and check for bad seals etc. and give it a good maintenance check out. I got it from a friend who was going to put it on a john boat. I told him that I would find him a boat and motor if he sold me the Johnson. One Ben Franklin later and it was on the way to a new home.

From the "Old Outboard Book":

A parts motor about $25

Running but in "beater" condition (maybe some missing knobs or have incorrect replacements) about $55

Complete motor decent condition (a few dings or scratches, might need some maintenance parts) about $125

"Cherry" condition and runs well about $250

These are general guidelines, depending where you live, a collector may pay more...

-John

BTW- You done good...

Thanks John,
I'll probably clean it up really good and get it tip top shape and hang onto it to give to my son one of these days. He is 11 now and by the time he gets old enough to appreciate it he may really like it.
