Coolest little outboard on the planet, in my opinion. The smallest production 4-cylinder engine ever made. When they're running, they sound absolutely terrific. For some reason, they're cheap as dirt.

Drawbacks:

1. No gear shift or neutral.
2. Finicky carburetor
3. Poor parts availability, although parts motors are abundant and cheap.
4. Low monetary value, even if restored, for some unknown reason.

Good Points

1. Coolness
2. Lots of expertise on them at www.aomci.com. Some newly-manufactured parts are available.
4. Did I mention Coolness.

The one you're looking at appears to be complete and in pretty darned good condition to start with. The price is good, but is about typical for complete Zephyrs in maybe running condition.

Not a good choice for a classic outboard for everyday use, but quite a wonderful outboard for those days when you want to play.

Plus, they are finicky and often don't run right. Knew a girl like that once.
