Is there a modern replacement for the prop shaft seal no. 302495, which is common to the 1951-57 10-15-18 hp Johnson/Evinrudes? I can only find it as a vintage special order part and its ridiculously expensive. I need a half dozen of these so I really need the help. Thanks.

WB,
I'm sure you know better than I do,but, I was wondering if the man at vintageoutboards would have those for sale separate?

I had the same problem with 54 15hp. I got a seal from ganotech for about 20 bucks.

I'll check them out. I'm just in the process of tearing out the old seal and putting the calipers to it.

Turns out the old seal has the same dimensions as its successor 313284 (18-2005). Makes me wonder why it didn't supercede to 313284. I can live with $8-10 for a replacement. Looks like I can seal my lowers for about $20 each.

Thanks guys.
