Hello, new to the forum. I started to bring back a 1953 Mark 7 (7.5hp) to life and after new plugs, a carb cleaning with new float and a water jacket replacement (existing one had cracked) to the lower cylinder it fired right up and actually ran. I noticed after running it for a while a nice oil slick in the water tank. I do see fuel ever slowly dripping down the front of the lower unit but its not coming from the carburetor or fuel tank. do these old motors just run with leaks or is there something to look for to clean up how it runs. I have the idle screw set a half turn out and the high speed jet about a full turn plus/minus a bit. I do need to pull off both water jackets and replace a couple of gaskets because at high rpm I have a nice spray of water coming out where the lower jacket meets the lower unit. thanks
