1954-55 Elgin repair manual

Does anyone have a repair manual for a 1954-55 Elgin. Trying to figure out how to get to the water pump and impeller.

I am not sure I understand the relationship between your question and the poll you are asking us to vote on!! Do you need the manual or you are asking if your engine is either an Outboard or Old? If it is the former, you need to post your question in one of the engine forums on iBoat not in the restoration forum. If it is the latter, it is not an either/or question.... Your can be an Outboard and Old at the same time

You might also ask in the Chrysler/Force forum, since that motor was made by West Bend which became Chrysler and is likely very similar.

OK, now that we are here, how about some information on that Elgin? What horsepower is it? A model number would be even better. If it is a West Bend, it will start with 571.xxxxxxx
I don't have a manual to share, but probably can tell you about the water pump.

I only have a copy of the Scott/McCulloch manual which was later.Sorry

Model number would sure help.My 55 generic aftermarket manual the gear case sure looks liker a West Bend.
