That tube is an oil line. Oil is pumped from the lower bearing, up to the upper bearing. No maintenance required.

that metal tube going vertical behind those 2 fuel lines.
So, racerone, i got the pawls on it and i got the carb rebuilt since last message... and today, when i pulled it... nothing, not even a sputter. i have a feeling a don't have a spark.. what would you suggest? fuel goes into the carb, there's compression that's way better than on 56 johnson, but it's not dark yet ao i cant test to c if there's spark... i was just wondering, if before i go and start on therm coils people keep telling me about, is there another thing i might have missed?
I gave the motor a fairly thorough go over, but i am new to this, and don't wanna jump too many steps

P.S. I rebuilt carb on that 15 hp johnson, and got it running pretty good, took it out on the water already.. it sometimes has trouble starting right away, and the needles rattle loose after while so i have to tweak them... but for $200 w tank and line included, and $15 for carb kit... not bad :)

PPS now i'm worried what that evinrude gonna cost more to get running :)

Loose needles are easy enough to take care of if you installed a proper rebuild kit - new packing under each packing nut, then snugging the packing nut down, will tighten up the needles.
