1954 Johnson cd-11 pull cord

I am looking for a pull cord for my motor. I was told that the cable with cord over the cable are not availible anymore. What do I do.

You can just use regular pull cord rope. It doesn't have to be cable core. Or you can use cheap hardware store rope and replace it more often.

West marine has plenty of cored small rope available, usually used for dinghy racing that would work well. I think New England Rope is the manufacturer.

Service manual shows that as a 5/32 rope 70 inches long.It says good quality nylon rope.
