Re: 1955 25 horse Carb kit with float
OK, so I got the carb kit from SeaWay, it is the 439074. I found a problem with the float, maybe this is why they don't list this kit for this motor?<br /><br />The brass arm coming off the float is about 3/16 inch longer than the one I took out. This makes the float not centered inside the bowl, which makes it hit the "riser pipe" (don't know the real name) and get stuck in the down position. <br /><br />I did correct the problem, I just put a crimp in the brass arm to make it shorter. <br /><br />[_]-^--o<br /><br />It's now centered, and doesn't catch on the pipe.<br />Anyway, just info for a future searcher.
