It smelled like a burnt rubber almost. That's my next step just havnt yas time to get to that yet. I inspected underneath all the covers and everything looks fine no sign of burning as far as I can tell. I did notice some gas/oil mix leaked from somewhere but that's not he smell I was getting.

Alright so I fired the motor back up and the head is getting hot so I'd say its probably the tube like you guys suggested....how exactly do you remove the tube though...

So I did find a chafed wire on one of the coil. As far as I can tell there is no hole in my water line but the motor still didn't seem to be cooling down. Head is fine all the passage ways are fine. I'm thinking maybe the gasket between powerhead and leg started leaking. Now the only other thing that I found is the part were the shaft goes into on the power head seems to have a bit of an air leak...

Use a hose to push some water up through the tube to the powerhead (l.u. removed, engine off, fuel hose or something similar to step down and match the outside diameter of the tube). Water should move through the powerhead and down out the leg, along with the small ports on the leg.
