Yes I did the sandpaper on glass.Dykemed the head before sanding. checked with straight edge also. It's flat .I'm running the motor in fresh water. I will check the exhaust cover today and check for holes. Thanks for the reply's, Hope I can get this figured out.

Congratulations to F_R . I pulled the exhaust cover today and found two holes in it . Now the question is where can I get a new baffel plate and a gasket Thanks again guys for pointing me in the right direction.

Plate is part number 203020, gasket is 202580. Try where you've been getting your other parts, or here at i-boats OEM parts.
