I have a 1956 bucaneer I know it runs because the guy I bought I from demonstrated it for me. I looking for a cold start procedure. It has gas, Choke, fast and slow idle knobs. I was able to get it started but I'm sure there must be an easier procedure. Can anyone help on this? Thanks

Re: 1956 bucaneer

Set throttle at a little above "START". Prime fuel bulb until hard (assumption being you have a remote tank. If not, turn fuel valve ON for integral tank models.). Pull choke out. Forcefully pull starter cord. Should start within 3 pulls. Motors that start harder than that usually have any one of many issues (carb improperly set, low compression, carburetor gunked, improper float level, ignition issues, etc.).
