Got an easy way to drive the shift rod bushing out...

Get yourself a 5/16" fine-thread tap. Run it into the bushing about three full turns from the top side. Remove it. Now thread a 5/16" fine-thread bolt into the bushing. This gives you a solid purchase on which to tap the bushing out from the bottom with a long 1/4" rod. The bushing is plenty long so that the newly added threads don't affect much. It saves a lot of bloody knuckles and colorful language....
- Scott

well I learned a valueable lesson (that I already knew) ALUMINNIUM MELTS. I was working on the seal for the prop end and melted the metal end that holds the seal. I just hope I can find a new one.
