1956 Javelin 30

I have an RJE-18C with electric start. How is the best way to tell if it is still a 6 volt starter or if someone has switched it over to 12? Thanks.

I know most of my 12 volt starters actually say 12V somewhere on the body. You can tell by the starter model # but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say how. I can tell you as long as you don't stay on it for more than 3 or 4 seconds, you'll be fine using the 6volt starter with a 12 volt battery.

The 6-Volt will be about 4.5-inches in diameter. The 12-Volt will be about 3.5-inches in diameter
