tanks are sometimes hard to find, check craigslist or ebay for a 2-line pressure tank. You can sometimes find them cheap, but are typically $75-100. If you buy one, be sure to get the connector on the end of the hose, they are really expensive. Another option is to convert your motor to a new style plastic tank and install a fuel pump on the motor.

What parts do you need? Many are available here on iBoats.

Rick,

The QD-14 is a 1953 not a 1956. Big difference between the years. PM me your email address and I can help you out with some info. Most parts are still available from your local Evinrude dealer.

Also, it is better to start a new topic than to attach to an old one like this.

I just picked up a qd-17 and am having a difficult time figuring out how and where the fuel lines connect. I understand it's a 2 line sytem with a pressurized tank but im not sure what to do. Does anyone know of another thread with details and pictures showing the hookup, or maybe a detailed thread with pics showing a converstion? thanks.
