Here is a boat I've had for a while, twin 56 johnson javelins each with own pressurized tank, auto choke, auto starters.

Nice. I finally got matching '56 Evinrude 30's this year and plan to put them on my '59 LoneStar Malibu next year. Still need dual controls though like you have.

I was helping an elderly couple at church clean out their garage and they have a 1956 Johnson Javelin 30hp that they gave me. I'm wondering what it is worth. It's in really nice condition.

Beautiful engine and welcome to the forum. An engine is worth what folks will pay for it in your area. You don't say where you are. I'd get it running first as it would be worth more. In my area you'd get $350-$500 or so for it running.

It's only about 10 years older than your 9.5. If your boat can hold the 30hp safely it's a great engine to get up and running. I'd recommend you fix her up. It's not hard and there's lots of folks on the forum that can help out with what to do.

Great motor! I have a 1957 Lark 35hp on my pontoon and wouldn't trade it for a newer motor. Those Big Twins run forever.

Hey, I have a Big Twin on my pontoon also. Only a 25hp though but it's on a 24' boat. Runs great. Was out in it last night.
