me too. looks like it's raining Javelins. As the others have said, they're great motors well worth getting up and running. Their monetary value depends a lot on condition and location. The first one would probably fetch over $500 in FL, but perhaps less in other areas. However, you can usually get them up and running for about $100 and they'll keep going forever and ever.

What area are you in Johnny? If local to me, I could help with collectors in this area. If you are in the US, webvertize at aomci.org

Hi there Johnny, If interested, iboats does offer a place to list your boat through their special online classifieds boat section found in the link below,

Sell a Boat Fast With iboats.com

A few other places to list your boat would be your local craigslist, Newspaper, ebay, Boat trader .com, boatus.com or Google search "Boat Classifieds" for a number of other online places.

Some boating forums offer a classified section while others do not. Some forums you pay for some you don't. You just would have to search around for them is all.;)

Iboats policy rule #6 states you may not post in the forum to promote any personal enterprise, advertise a business or product, or to solicit responses for contests, polls, or similar. This includes directing members to social networking sites.
The First post of a thread may not be used to advertise or promote a product, company, internet site, sale, individual, or service. If you wish to promote a product or internet site, please contact iboats for rates/permission. Please remember that iboats is a retail vendor of marine products and do not post anything that would be detrimental to iboats' interests. http://forums.iboats.com/forum-rules-guidelines/forum-rules-397820.html

Hope this helps, Good luck.:)

Alright then, maybe someone can tell me what my 1956 Johnson Javelin is worth. It has electric start and pressurized tank with it. I am near Springfield Missouri. Has compression but hasn't been started in 18 years.

Don't worry, that is the way collectors/restorers will want it. They wont want it messed with.

It seems to be complete minus the recoil door. They can still be had. The front door is there, and that is critical to have, without that you will have trouble selling it.

You will likely get in the $150 to $200 range.

The cheapest I have personally sold one for is 200, but have bought them for as low as 150.

After restoration Ive gotten upwards of $1000.

I have to recoil door. I took it off to show that the pull cord was still there.
