1956 Johnson javelins

Been looking for parts for my outboards. These javelins have a screwed in water intake screen on the exterior of the lower unit. I used to have a water flush that would be exactly the same as that water intake screen except it has a hose connection on it. Any body know where i could get a part like that ,or an illustrated parts breakdown of that engine?

no longer available, you might find it on ebay, but extremely rare.

Can't help with your immediate problem but I did happen to spy a part on ebay that might be of interest. It's a dash plate with ignition switch and choke button. Looks to be about the same vintage.
