What nipple behind the carb is my pulse nipple and and Shutoff nipple. I got a nipple below carb and a nipple a little higher behind the electric starter.

I installed a fuel pump for single fuel line and need to know what nipple needs to be clamped off.

Thank you in advanced!

Here's a pic of the nipple in question - next to a 1/4 inch bolt (for perspective)

I THINK (guess) that makes the nipple 1/8 inch pipe thread - which I have never seen before. (I lead a sheltered life)

Pic 2 is the nipple mounted to a crappy clear tube. Nipple is mounted at the base of the cover to the reed valves.

Note that pics are from a 1956 Big twin 30hp. Exactly the same only different.

This is the nipple that pressurizes the fuel tank - not to be confused with a pulse line that pushes a fuel pump.

That was it, thanks for the answer! Now i can get it to start but back firers and quits. It looks like a carb problem to me.
its spiting fuel out the carb, must be something with float or needle.
