You can get a service manual on CD for Evinrude, Johnson and other brands of older motors at www.acmeoutboards.com

I like using the fuel pumps from the later 33's on those old 35's, but that Mikuni is a good alternative.

You can also use a bypass cover off of an OMC 28hp or 33hp motor. Its a simple swap that take a new gasket and a few minutes time.

I'm bringing this thread back to the top! I've replaced the coils and the impeller and had it out on the lake a few time. I've also replace the dog on the prop shaft and swapped the forward and reverse gears and just rebuilt the carb today but have not fired it up yet.

Good catch. Got my wires crossed. Yeah, I don't think the OEM/Sierra replacement part is 2 or 3 times better than the little Mikuni jobbers even though they cost 2 or 3 times more like this one.

Fuel Pump for Johnson, Evinrude 438562 - Sierra 18-7351 - iboats
I had a parts motor with that fuel pump on it and moved it over to this one. Works well. I didn't have any good double line tanks but have six good singles. The pump work well and I've got the Mikuni sitting here on my desk.
