Are there one or two magnets attached to the flywheel? I placed a screw driver to one and it is magnetically attracted. The other not so much.......Are there two and if so, do I need to replace the flywheel if one has lost its magnetic properties?

There are magnets on one side of the flywheel only.------What is the problem with the motor ???---Those flywheels are usually not the problem.

I've often wondered the same thing while giving it the screwdriver test. Let's just put it this way.....it is good. Magnets made since WWII never go bad.

I had a piece of the anchor and pin break off and it went under the flywheel and tore up coils n points(which I replaced). Then I couldn't remember if with the screwdriver test there was one magnet or two.
