35HP. Does anyone know where I can get one? I have the 5 pin on the side of the motor and would like to simply plug into it then run cables to battery, key, choke switch. Thanks!C10546EA-2010-4732-B8DD-77262DC27172.jpeg

Yep,, 1957 was the only year for that 5-pin cable. But a 7-pin cable will work also. Try a want ad at AOMCI.org The ad is free

Um, the 7-pin setup won't support a key switch

Does your Lark have a generator, and if so do you intend to use it? Makes the electricals more complex.

I see a cobweb in your pic. The magneto likely needs a rebuild, likewise the water pump. You don't need to run the motor to do the magneto and pump, but will likely want to run it to test -- can do that while looking for cables and box. Take off the generator belt, if present -- absent the charging apparatus, the motor can be safely run completely manually. Either pull it over manually with the motor on a secure stand or a boat transom, or rig a simple solenoid and button starter assembly to test. Flushers don't attach well to that lower unit, and best to test in a deep barrel anyway -- water well over the pump.

Good luck finding junction box and cables. I believe nymarine.ca has reproduction cables but they are very expensive. The '57 Lark did not have a keyswitch only a push-button to start. Stop was done by choking the engine.
