1957 firestone 3.6 point adjustment

Hello, does anyone know how to adjust point's on a 3.6 ? I just want to make sure that they are at the right gap before trying to start is there a special procedure . Any help would be appreciated paul

Just like you adjust any stock set of points. Gap is probably .018 or .020. If not, that will put you in the ballpark. Pull the points and clean the contacts first, then reinstall, use a feeler gauge to set the gap, and lock them down tight.
