I couldn't seem to get the link to work. I kept the orginal trailer and just replaced the tilt part with a welded on new tongue. I mainly did that because the connection was lose and would wiggle all over the place going down the road.
Interesting, mine was quite a bit different. my tongue had a piviot point in front of the axle. that is a lot different.
I have done my project totally bass ackwards, I redid the trailer before the boat. I will try to find some up close pics, mine releases where the tongue "splits"but pivots about 2 feet back. It seems to be real solid but I don't think it will be a good idea to try and use the tilt, I sure don't want to try to crank the weight of the boat and motor even though the boat is less than 15' that has to be a huge workout to get the boat out of the water that way. My Lyn Craft is a '65, I assume the trailer is from the same era but couldn't find any badge or serial number, could even be homemade. It is practically homemade now because I replaced everything except the frame and winch tower.
